There's old, there's beat-up, and then there's just plain busted. |
AFTER
With the kitchen updated, we were able to add light, space, and make it a real selling point. Modern style cabinets, stainless steel appliances, white time, tile floors and a pendant light fixture all helped improve the youthful feel of the property.
I love three season rooms. But it's hard to love this one. |
With the 3-season room gone, a deck with views of the backyard helped to maximize this property. |
Looks better when the grass came in. |
Pink is a hard color to make work. In a bathroom? Yes, the floor was pink tile. Really hard. |
In the Updated Version, a larger vanity has been put in place, and the pink fixtures have been removed. The full bath was made in to a roomy half bath. |
This bathroom is so small you have to go outside to change your mind. |
The half bath was converted to the master bedroom shower, and some dead space was also used to make the rest of the master bath. It was a big house, so two sinks was the way to go.
How many stylistic issues can we count in one photo? Flagstones. Grey Brick. Brass fireplace screen. Antique-ish light fixture. Sigh. |
Yes, it's the same room. Same fireplace. Better No? |
Parquet flooring can also be found at the new Boston Garden where the Celtics play. I think that's the only place it looks good though. We went over it with carpet. |
