Trask makes First Proposal to begin revitalization downtown(4/2014)

 

Change is hard! Although Ashland new zoning map has been on the books since 2006, the declining real estate market probably kept many developers at bay in taking advantage of it. Now though, Trask Development, a reptuable builder in Southborough, has bellied up to the development bar. As is usually the case, impacted neighbors are less than thrilled. More from the Metrowest Daily News. 60 Pleasant St sells for 1.6 Million, and town official note it's an important step to increase the efficiency of the existing commercial space.Ashland could really benefit from converting their "old school" commercial /industrial spaces to more attractive retail and modern day commercial.  The redevelopment group in Ashland has been looking to do just that.  More in the Worcester Business Journal.
