Analysis of Hopkinton Housing Market Statistics
Well, the Hot Seller Index tells it all - it's been a good couple of months for Hopkinton. I see weakness ahead, however, especially for homes above 750K, where there's too much inventory and too few buyers. Look for big price changes in that market. Over 40% of the inventory is above 700K, and that's just too much, and competition will be fierce in that segment.

Buyers have grabbed the best of the season, other sellers may need to adjust prices. |
Bargain Hunters: With just one foreclosure on the market, Hopkinton is not the place for deep discounts. Most sellers have been on the market less than four months, and few sellers, who don't have to move, unlike REO properties, panic sell after just four months. Keep an eye on the active market time, however, as it will likely grow in the coming months.
Regular buyers looking under 650 won't find too much, as the market is well picked over at this time. There are some nice houses available but the best have already gone. Little inventory is coming on at this time, so the patience of the buyers will be tested.
