The Hudson historical data shows us very clearly the inventory tightening that happened at the end of last year. Fortunately for buyers, sellers have started to return to the market, which has increased transaction volume and kept prices from really climbing. Still, it's been a good run for Hudson the last couple of years, with no real soft markets. (note the HSI, Hot Seller Index, never goes below 70).

Note the low point in homes for sale in February. Also worth noting is that we have seen prices jump since the last report, as the demand has strengthened and the number of condition impacted properties fell. Bank impacted inventory - foreclosures and short-sales - are up by a single unit. Bottom line is we see a market that is pretty neutral for buyers and sellers, but buyers should be aware that the best properties may go quickly if priced right.
