Analysis of Housing Market Statistics
Northbridge, Massachusetts: There's one less foreclosure, other than that, the "inventory under pressure" - foreclosures and short sales - has remained the same - a little bit heavy compared to some towns, but I don't think we're at 'shadow inventory' just yet. The actives have stayed the same, but the sales have picked up - mirroring the trend when sales fell off last fall. Momentum is up sharply, and overall the buyers must like what they are finding, they are taking the good stuff off the shelves. This market still has too much inventory, and the market time is too high to call it a seller's market - but we're getting a lot closer to, and may be in a neutral market, where neither buyers or sellers can call the shots.
